Buckle your seat belts folks because so much has happened since my last blog post and I can't wait to tell you all about it.

Despite a hectic semester and finals schedule, I ended up finishing last semester strong, and actually received my first 4.0 GPA of college. Winter break provided some much-needed relaxation time, but I also managed to stay pretty busy during the four week hiatus. At the beginning of the break, my family came in from out of town for the holidays and stayed at my house. This might sound like an undesirable or overwhelming scenario to some, but I don't get to see this side of my family as often as I'd like to, so I loved having a week of uninterrupted time with them. After they left, I was able to kick back and relax a bit more, but I also had some work I needed to do in preparation for two pharmacy school interviews that were scheduled for the last week of my break.

Once I got back to Syracuse for the start of my final semester, I ended up finding out that I was accepted to both pharmacy schools I had interviewed at. I've since accepted one of the offers, and am really looking forward to starting in the fall. You might think that this pharmacy school acceptance would mean that I could have a more laid back final semester, but so far that has not been the case. As soon as I got back to campus, I had to start preparing for the sorority recruitment process (for anyone who might be unfamiliar with sorority recruitment or "rush", it's the time when women who have not joined a sorority yet go around to the different sororities on campus to figure out which one feels like the best fit for them). Although this may not sound like much, because I am a senior and hold a leadership position in my sorority, I definitely had a lot on my plate, especially once classes started.

Recruitment has since ended, so my schedule has gotten less crazy and now I can focus more on enjoying my final semester. In past years, I haven't had much time in my schedule to take classes outside of my majors and minors, but this semester I finally have some wiggle room. I still have to take a few science courses to round out my Biology major, but I'm also taking Beer and Wine Appreciation, which is a very stereotypical senior year class here at SU. In all, the past few weeks have flown by, so I'm hoping to slow things down from here on out and take advantage of every moment during my final weeks as a student at Syracuse University.
