AHHHH…Literally, there has been a gazillion thoughts going through my head since the semester started. Between Kalabash Dance Troupe, FullCircle Mentoring Program, Ubuntu: Black Leadership Network, working in the College of Arts and Sciences Admissions Office, and triple majoring has made time management an essential key to surviving my college career. Yet, I still have had time to dance and model this past weekend for Caribfest presented by Caribbean Student Association. Caribfest is a Caribbean competition to see who will be the next Mr. & Mrs. Caribfest along with performances, fashion, and a concert. I’m so proud to say my pageant mom talents succeeded because my best friend won Mrs. Caribfest!

Despite all the fun I had last week, it’s time to get back to the books! I have an exam on Thursday for my AAS 303: Black Women Writers class, and an exam next week for AAS 306: African American Politics class. Let’s all get together and pray this goes well! On the happier side of things, Kalabash is going to be opening up for the Prancing Elites who have a show on Oxygen this Thursday for “Coming Out” month…Go Us! Also, I’ve been doing great at saving money this week, not really! They tell you to manage your money in college, but you don’t realize how serious it is until at the end of the week you have eaten all your money… Literally! Hopefully, at the end of this week I’ll be able to take a moment to reflect on all that has transpired this semester because everything is happening so fast that I can’t keep up.

Stay tuned next week to see if I accomplish my goals of managing my finances better, acing my exam, and other exciting news.
